Preventing Lipstick Fade

To prevent feathering and lipstick fade, apply a lip liner just inside your lips. Make sure the color matches your lipstick shade perfectly. Read more tips.

You can make your lipstick last longer in a few simple steps: First, apply foundation to your lips. Blot. Fill in your lips with lip liner. Blot. Apply lipstick and blot again. For one-step long-wearing lip color, try Cover Girl Outlast or Max Factor Lipfinity -- these contain semipermanent pigments called PermaTone that stay on your lips until you take off your lipstick with makeup remover.

To make lipstick really last, outline and fill entire lip surface with base coat of lip pencil to prevent colour-bleed, give lipstick longer wear and more interesting depth and texture. Drier matte texture helps lipstick hold tight.

Vitamins A, C and E help lock in and intensify colour, So they are helpful to prevent lipstick and eyeshadows from fading, creasing and bleeding.
